Mohamed Salah arrived at Melwood Training Ground. The flying winger put pen to paper last night on a five year contract worth £90,000 a week, after Liverpool agreed to pay Roma a record-breaking figure that could eventually rise to £39m, which will shatter the previous best paid for Andy Carroll.

Salah will claim the number 11 shirt famously worn by club legends like Ian Callaghan, Graeme Souness and Terry McDermott and last season by star striker Roberto Firmino; with the Brazilian taking the number nine made iconic by Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler before him.
