Rafa Benitez has only recently taken the Newcastle United hot-seat and already he faces a battle to hold on to it – from Moussa Sissoko’s young son.

Newcastle have already had more managers in the dugout than they would have liked this season but ahead of Newcastle’s clash with Man City it looked as though there was going to be yet another.

And it was a mini-Sissoko who took a liking for Benitez's chair, with the midfielder's son perching himself in the dugout shortly before the game kicked off.

The little Magpie even took the time out to sign an autograph for Benitez as he got used to his surroundings.

Wearing his very own Newcastle shirt, Sissoko junior eventually allowed Benitez to get on with his job and the youngster is sure to have been impressed with how the strugglers performed.

Then he returns to his mum.

Towards the end of the first half, Dani Alves had a comedy moment.

Trying his best to keep the ball in play, the Brazilian scuttled towards the ball hovering over the touchline. When he made contact with the ball, Alves also managed to trip himself up, and that left his careening into the advertising hoarding head first.

The Spanish goalie is in a long term relationship with Spanish singer Edurne, but she was in Manchester for a visit.

Edurne posted a picture on social media stood outside Old Trafford holding a De Gea scarf.

She capped up social media upload with clapping hands in a show of support.
